Why My Reiki Trainings Aren’t Just a Weekend Certification

In a world that’s obsessed with quick results, instant healing, and fast-track qualifications - Reiki asks something different of us.

It asks us to slow down.

To listen.

To become.

Because Reiki isn’t something you “do.”

It’s something you embody.

And embodiment takes time.

The Truth About Reiki Certifications

There are many Reiki trainings out there that promise attunements and certifications in a single weekend.

While that structure may suit some people, I’ve found - through years of practice, holding space, and observing my students - that something vital often gets missed.

Integration.

You can’t rush energetic transformation.

You can’t skip the parts where your nervous system needs regulation, or where old emotional patterns rise to the surface to be released.

You can’t become a clear channel for healing when you haven’t been given time to clear and settle your own energy.

And yet, that’s what most “weekend Reiki trainings” attempt to do.

Reiki Is a Living Transmission

Traditional Reiki was a sacred practice taught slowly over time - through devotion, meditation, presence, and deep energetic awareness.

When I created my Reiki Level 1 with Intuitive Development, I knew I wanted to honour that tradition. But also meet people where they are now - in today’s busy, modern world.

So I shaped the training as a 2-day retreat-style journey.

One that allows you to truly experience Reiki — not just learn about it.

This kind of transformation can’t be rushed.

So if you’re feeling the call, I look forward to seeing you at one of the trainings soon.
